The first group walk for veterans took place in Hopwas Woods, near Tamworth in Staffordshire and the group was known by participating Veterans as 'Hopwas Walks'.

We are open to all Veterans and their families, from any of our armed forces. Each walk starts at a different location around the Lichfield area and we cover distances of 3 to 5 miles over easy to moderate terrain. If you think you would like to join us for a gentle walk with a few like minded people get in touch with the Veterans Hub.

The walkers meet monthly, usually on a Monday from 10am-1pm.

Free activity.

Refreshments available

Toilet facilities at start and end of walk (depending on route)

Parking charges may apply when meeting away from The Staffordshire Regiment Museum

Dogs permitted to join in when accompanied by well trained owners.

The walks are usually on easy to moderate terrain. There are a variety of routes and some can accommodate mobility scooters. Check out the Facebook page for details or email for more information.
